Progetti solari in India e Uganda
INDIA: "Rashtrapati Bhavan is considering generation of electricity from renewable resources to take care of its energy needs. One proposal under consideration is the setting up of an 8-MGW Grid locked Solar Power Photovoltaic Plant occupying an area of 300 by 300 metres for supplying power to the entire Rashtrapati Bhavan Building complex, including the estate," the President, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, said while addressing the `Green Building Congress 2005' organised by the CII here on Thursday. >>>
UGANDA GOVERNMENT-aided boarding schools will soon be connected to solar power, the Minister of State for Energy, Dr. Kamanda Bataringaya, has said. Engineers have started the preliminary work on the solar installation, which is to begin with 90 schools in Mubende, Kibaale, Mbale, Pallisa, Arua and Apac districts. The project is expected to cost US$30m (about sh52.5b). >>>
